For many East Timor Hearts Fund patients, the trip to Australia for surgery is their first overseas experience. A friendly face at the airport or someone to show them around Melbourne makes their experience less stressful.
Volunteers assist us with activities such as transporting and supporting patients during their stay. If you can speak Tetum we would especially love to hear from you.
Our volunteers also travel with our volunteer medical team to Timor-Leste to assist with our screening clinics, undertaking tasks including administration and interpreting.
If you would like to register interest in volunteering, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Check our our latest volunteer vacancies.
Please note that all volunteers require a current police check and, where relevant, a Working With Children Check.
If you are getting married, wanting to create a meaningful way to remember a lost loved one or perhaps you have a hankering to run your first marathon, you can set up your own customised supporter page on the secure platform GoodCompany. Click here for details.

Your workplace or club can make a big difference through small, fun, fundraising initiatives. Why not organise a casual clothes day at work, with a
gold coin donation; or a cupcake or muffin day; or maybe you might like to do a charity fun run and nominate us as the recipient. We are grateful for any assistance no matter how small! If you
would like some more ideas about things you can do, please contact us as we are happy to help inspire you!
